A Doorway in Monteriggioni

Not far from the grand walled city of San Gimiagno, with its seven magnificent towers, is an older walled city, Monteriggioni. Perched atop a hill in Tuscany, it hosts summer concerts and travellers from around the world. This doorway, with its beautiful flowers and simple lines, characterized the friendly greetings exteneded to us by our Italian hosts. Many doorways throughout the country are equally simple and equally inviting.

Pattern is approximately 5 X 7 inches and is appropriate for a needlecrafter with limted experience.
